Professional celebrity makeup artist Vonda K. Morris has worked with some the most recognizable names and faces in the entertainment industry of Film, Television and Music. This veteran artist with over 25 years’ experience has worked on award winning television shows such as The Practice (ABC) and The Bernie Mac Show (FOX); award nominated movies such as Selma (2014), Middle of Nowhere (2012), and Ocean’s Thirteen (2007); along with countless award winning celebrities. Vonda was the long-time personal make-up artist to the legendary actor, entertainer and comedian Bernie Mac and is working with David Oyelowo and Kevin Hart. Vonda is currently working on Real Husbands of Hollywood airing on BET and just completed working on Five Nights in Maine with David Oyelowo, Rosie Perez and Diane West; and the Lifetime movie With This Ring with Regina Hall, Jill Scott, Eve and Brooklyn Sudano.
Her roster of clients, are names in the business which she started out with years ago and have remained her clients since. She has worked with and continues to work with such names as Blair Underwood, Dylan McDermott, Sallie Richardson-Whitfield, Dean Cain, Nick Cannon, Regina Hall, Jill Scott, Kimberly Elise, Charlotte Ross, Tisha Campbell, Erkyah Badu, Omari Hardwick, Nikki Cox, Brian White, Snoop Dogg, Nicole Ari Parker, Boris Kojo, Cathy Hughes, Eva Marcille, Aly & AJ and Sharon Leal. And those are just to name a few. Vonda’s client list runs triple the amount of years she has been in the business.

Studio executives, producers, directors (Robert Altman, Jessie Collins, Stan Lathan and Ava DuVernay) and artists (David Oyelowo, Kevin Hart, Blair Underwood, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Charlotte Ross, Dylan McDermott and Kimberly Elise) requested her to work on set and teams for projects. Vonda’s innovative creative talents go across the board, from beauty hair and make-up, to special effects and character make-up.

Vonda began her career as assistant make-up artist and hair stylist and quickly rose through the ranks taking on key positions as key make-up artist, supervisor to department head on major movie and television productions. She has long-standing relationships with networks and productions such as NBC, ABC, FOX, David Kelly Productions, BET, TV One and VH1.
She is a member of Local Union 706 and a graduate of Joe Blasco Make-Up Center and University Cosmetology School in California. In addition to her professional studies, Vonda did some of her course work at Grambling State University, in Grambling, Louisiana, majoring in Criminal Justice.
Outside of her professional career, Vonda has a true passion of service. She was honored by the late Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald for her work and support within her community. Vonda is an advocate for Sickle Cell Anemia research and participates in annual Walks and fund- raiser throughout the year to help educate people about this painful disease. This is a platform which she takes personally as her daughter was born with Sickle Cell and knows all too well the affects the disease has on the child and family. In addition, Vonda has worked on many committees in her community to champion scholarships for high school students heading off to college, she mentors youth in her community and works with local organizations in support of AIDS research.
Vonda is affiliated with the League of African American Women, Carson Women’s Club, National Council of Negro Women, Carson Cultural Arts Foundation and a member of Prevailing and Christ Ministry Church. She is a native of Carson, California where she still resides raising her two beautiful children, Sabah (19) and Onaje (15).
