Legendary guitarist Larry Coryell is a pioneer in jazz fusion. Considered by some to be the Godfather of jazz-rock, Coryell has attained more than accolades from fans and critical acclaim from the jazz community in his 40 something years in the music business; he’s also gained a family.

“Jazz musicians, we’re a family.” Coryell says. In this interview with iRock Jazz, Larry Coryell explains how his jazz family introduced him to an ancient practice that saved his life and impacted his playing style and his music for the better.
